Hello everyone! My name is Lynne DuMae, and I write sweet and young adult romance.

I have always loved to read, for as long as I can remember. I think I caught that bug from my grandma, who had a bookshelf from floor to ceiling in her bedroom. Books were stacked two to three rows thick throughout. I can remember sneaking into her room to “borrow” books from her. She has become my inspiration with my writing. I only wish she could still be around to see me now.

I started writing at an early age. My first poem, that I gave to my grandma, yes same one, she pulled out years later and showed it to me. That was one of the most touching moments of my life. It felt good to know that something I wrote meant so much to her. I realize that was just a proud grandma, and my writing wasn’t spectacular, but it meant so much to me. My biggest hope is that I can touch someone else with my words. That is the goal I will continue to strive for.

As a teenager, I fell in love with romance. Not to give away my age, but in those days, there were small category romance books for teens. I ate them up! It’s so nice to see Harlequin returning to those stories with their own line of category romance for teenagers. What better way to allow a new generation to fall in love all over again?

I’ve spent most of my life in small town Missouri, and while I love it here, I also love to travel. I want to see everything this world has to offer. Honestly, I could spend most of my life living out of a suitcase. Seeing new things, meeting new people, I live for those experiences. Unfortunately, I don’t get to travel near enough, but hopefully someday…

Most of the time, you can find me hanging out online meeting new people there. My online friends have come to mean so much to me, and I wouldn’t want to know what my life would be like without them. They have been my guide and my encouragement as I’ve learned this wonderful craft. I’m so glad I got to know each and every one of them.
